A stable on the hilltop behind my house is home to a wide variety of animals, my favorite of which are the peacocks becuase they make such a wonderful honking noise when fatdog chases them!!
But the presence of peacocks means that there are peahens too (and yes, I checked, that is the correct term!). They make me wonder, why in nature do most males use their appearance to demonstrate their worthiness to future mates while we do the exact opposite? It just seems wrong.
Oh, and check out the cat in the bottom right by the tree. I think he was hoping that the peachicks might have wondered down as well.
